The New Hobby - Wakeboarding!

Image
Last week, we went to the South, CWC (CamSur WaterSports Complex), CamSur for a short vacation that was extended for 2 more days because of the typhoon threat in the province. It was indeed the coolest weekend ever! I learned the art of wakeboarding in their cable park there. I was inspired and was able to practice some stunts and played wakeboarding with a jump start. Now, it will be my new hobby and sport. On that vacation, I realized that wake boarding was a good athletic exercise for abdomenal and body build up. I hope to do it often (with friends) as hobby. We also have witness the best Asians riders compete for the top rank in the 3rd stop of the Asian Wakepark Tour which is the 2nd Asian Wakepark Championship in CWC . We joined and watched also the premiere of Aquafrolics: A Wakeskate movie at the Poolside and party with the people there. Also pack of candies and fun were given to us for joining trick or treating in our last minute in the place before we went back to Manil...

Enchanted Kingdom Magicalympics

Image
Truly the magic begins in Enchanted Kingdom as they invited 50 lucky bloggers to experience a special adventure in their magical world. Invited bloggers met at Makati and taken by the service provided by International Travel Exchange Inc. (ITEX) , the exclusive Shuttle Service Provider of Enchanted Kingdom. When we arrived there, we were group to five (5) teams for an exciting activity in the afternoon. Our first stop was to watch “Journey to the Center of the Earth” starring Brendan Fraser in the 4D theatre . The experience there was cool, you will really sense the special effects, and you’ll get wet and feel the adventure in screen, simply 4D! After the lunch that they prepared for us, we played Enchanted Kingdom’s version of Amazing Race called Magicalymips ! I was tagged in the Yellow team, the Elephant team, with Azrael as our team leader. We had fun the whole afternoon completing the task in whole theme park, including the rides. The challenges were set up in rides as station to...

some thoughts on being happy

One of the main reasons wealth makes people unhappy is that it gives them too much control over what they experience. Then they ( including me ) tend to translate fantasies into reality instead tasting what reality itself has to offer. To fight this is an attitude to keep, putting more value on non-material things. We are constantly told that the way to happiness is through material possessions. “ Men who drive this sport car have all the women after them” , “If I could only own a special tool it would make me happy!” What does a man really want? He wants a feeling that his life makes sense. He wants the give-and-take of loving relationships. He wants to feel he has a place in the world and can make a contribution. And he wants the feeling that he is not standing still, but growing in those ways. Being poor certainly limit our options, but material wealth is an empty seduction. Putting all our energies into capturing wealth may make us rich, but it also can become an addiction that ca...

the chosen children of newton

Image
The Chosen Children of Newton ( In Lake Sebu, South Cotabato ) Time passes so quickly that I could hardly believe that my high school reunion is now knocking at my door step. Waw! Images of my mind swiftly comes remembering the good old days, my first love, first kiss, crushes, junior and seniors prom, long exams, competitions, the parties, and so many things that I have learned from high school days whether good or bad. But for myself, high school life is really the best, from innocence of adolescent, the attraction of the opposite sex, the discovering and awakening. So many beautiful memories that made your life more colorful and worth remembering. As the reunion day comes in Lake Sebu; I was so happy meeting all my high school classmates, t he looks of maturity of their faces cannot be denied, we immense our self talking and reminiscing our high school life while eating, palying hip-hip hurray, endless videoke sessions, and drinking. But somehow we cannot deny the fact that each ...

life is getting exciting

Image
I just wan't to include this picture. Nothing to do with my post. I realized that if a man breathe in all his visions and exhale them as actions , everything becomes possible well maybe except doing those things in the limit of human boundaries to execute. Now that I am breathing what I thought I needed to survive, procedures must be performed admirably. Often, people decide if they are to live their life as a dream or make it a reality but I chose both. Live your dream in reality – with this direction, you’ll appreciate life more. Once you recognize the value of it, happiness would just come. I thought of these because of people I see walking the same path each day back at the streets and also of hearing their stories of happiness and struggles and sacrifices. Some made change, some are content, and some has nothing. Bottomline of this awareness is that life could be lived the way you wanted it to be. Just not make it complicated. Breathe in your capacity to live and exhale li...

bday bash

Well, how was my birthday yesterday? How did I celebrate my very SPECIAL/LUCKY DAY? It was super fun. That was one of the best birthday party I have had in my first twenty one years here on earth. It was well-spent because of you guys (my family, blogger friends, college friends, best friends, co-leaders, Pathways family, TOSP family, TYG family, and many more). I spent the fantastic night with my TOSP friends (Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines) in the GK designer’s night (cocktail party) organized by Tony Meloto, the founder of Gawad Kalinga (GK) to celebrate the hero-ship of young leaders who work on nation building at NBC tent, global city, Taguig. It was a great event; top executives of established companies, eminent political leaders ( including Vice President Noli de Castro ) and academic leaders, and professionals were there to commemorate my birthday and the event ( the latter is true ). Ryan Cayabyab and his singers entertained us. After the event, we hopped in ba...

adventure at star city

Image
Star City is the country’s premiere theme park and is located at Sotto St., CCP Complex Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. It has a 35,000 square meter area wherein the entertainment fields and amusement rides are found. From Left: Penny, Jomae, and Me in our log in Wild River. Last Night, I went there together with my friends, Jomae and Penny. We really have had great fun there and we tried all the rides there for only 450.00 pesos, ride all you can promo. Good thing, I have had my cash advance in my part time tutorial job. Among the rides I remembered that I enjoyed were the Wild River, Jungle log jam, 360-degree Zyklon Loop, Viking, Surf Dance, Bumper Cars, Galactic , and other few I can’t recall but my favorite of all is the Surf Dance and second to it is the Wild River. I’m amused also when we entered the very cold castle of ice which they called t he King of the Jungle (Ice Palace), and was horror-struck (a little bit) in Western Ghost Town and at Gabi ng Lagim , and was also entert...

Gabi ng Parangal 2008

Image
From Left: Br. Wilfredo E. Lubrico, FMS -the University President, Moi, Dr. Noemi B. Silva the Vice-president for Academics, and Mr. Andres Magallanes - the Vice-president for Administration ( Giving of the Institutional Leadership Award ) GABI NG PARANGAL 2008 , organized on March 10 to the comfortably structured gymnasium of the Notre Dame of Marbel University to give recognition to student leaders and achievers in University. It also recognized the best and the brightest talents. It was the first special awards night organized in the University and it was [very] formal. The administrators and faculties were the people who organized the event for the students. They serve as ushers and usherettes of the nominees in awarding ceremony. It was like an OSCARS Awards – because of the presence of the red carpet, the spotlight, the background sound that thrilled and exited the audience, and the witty and humorous emcee in a event’s formal atmosphere. Some of the student leaders in t...

this summer

This summer I might be in Aklan for a vacation. My brother owns a souvenir store in White Castle Beach in Boracay . He invited me after my graduation to spend some few days there to relax and enjoy the summer heat. I hope I can grab his offer. I hope that I will not be stagnant after graduation day. I hope that I will not be a bomb. I hope I will not be broken. I hope I can find time for with him. I have a mixed feeling right now about what will be next after graduation. I feel unease and anxiety. Will I have a job right away? Will I survive the world of work? I feel not prepared. I feel not ready marching. I feel that way, while, my other classmates were excited about the day and ending their days in school. I can hear them talking about their future, their plans, vacation on summer, the facelift Palm Beach , and all sort of things that make them excited.

image of end

Just this after I got my graduation picture. It was digital and edited. I appear clean and nice-looking in my picture. It was taken by the tessar , the official photo shop of the University. They do photo-editing services, developing, and they also offer video coverage for special events. The photo shop was partnered by our school because they are the only photo shop in Koronadal City that offers cheap and quality photo-editing service. The place is also accessible from the location of the University. My classmates got their graduation pictures also. You laughed at how different we appear in person and in picture. Some really look different because some impurities on their face were removed (edited) by the technology. But, one guy from IT Department feels unfortunate because his damaged and darkened tooth was not edited. He was disappointed because he had a great smile and he love to smile always in picture taking. We advice him to put a tooth veneer made of porc...

hs klsm8s reunion and etc

Image
I met my high school classmates before the year ends. We played ate, talked, reminisced the good ol' high school days in KN (our alma mater), and we laughed like crazy. What surpised me was that either they were now involved in romantic relationships, or that they had just broken up. And some shared that they were happily involved in productive and worthwhile activities. We talked about our plans after graduation and dreams in life which were sweet and real. I was so happy to see them grow better persons and more mature. As early this year, we planned our next get-to-gether party so that the attendance next year will be hundred percent complete. Charlene whose parents have a vacation house at Lake Sebu promised to host the venue for our next party. Along with the planning of it, Ronnel and I suggested to adapt a community in the said place for an extension (outreach program) since some of us will be professional soon. This program will serve as a payback to the blessings we ha...
