Team Building

Image
I have spent my weekends doing some team building activities in Jasmine Farms. It was very nice and, I had some good conversation about our council and about connecting with the other college council officers. It's a very good thing to understand how you fit into the success of your Student Council. I always feel like to be part of the solution and never part of the problem, in any situation in the College of Science and Technology. It's just the way I try to live. Maybe, I am just afraid to be a part of the difficulty. It's a valuable effort to spend time with your council officers together with the other young student council leaders of the other four colleges and with the SSG Officers who facilitated the seminar. I believe, to the talk of how we can all be better in servicing the needs of the studentry. Also, to how we can develop our leadership skills and to focus on the personal growth and development of us as individuals. Thanks, to Sir M, for a great team building a...

geeky life of netwoking

More Geeks. Last Tuesday I managed to attend to a class on CCNA ( Cisco Certified Network Associate) - 1 . There was a lot of good info that interest me in enrolling to that class. But consciously, I dont know if I am to pursue the idea of taking the Certification exam. Maybe, later...or someday! What is great in taking the class is that - I'll not be attending class in CS 133 -( SAD ) System Analysis and Design. And my grade in CCNA-1 will reflect on my CS 133. But it is advisable to take both of the class. Now for those of you who aren’t geeks, know this one thing, we will be facinated with acronyms. www ftp tftp http abc IP BIOS RAM CD DVD ROFTL and etc. Yeah, we will be taking long words and shortening them down. This acronyms will be common for us as the pace of our discussion continues. I hope my 'networks' will be fine!

A year and a half left

Yes. School is out already. The world will be happy again for me. But still I am not in the student mode and I am still sleepy... Yes, this was really evident from the fact that I went to sleep at 10:30pm and woke up this morning around 6:15am, making me late to my first class (7:00am). It was too heavy for me to wake up, but I made it to class right before Mr. Sulla able to check off on the attendance sheet. Part of my fatigue was due to my late sleeping hours and able not to sleep. I hope I'll be having more luck and not be lazy anymore. Counting from now, I only have a 6 months and one more year left until my college graduation… these past few years have gone by insanely fast. I remember walking into my school as a freshman and like going insane over the hugeness of it all. That was only 2 years ago and now I’m so close to being a man. Time flies when you’re having fun and if you are seriously busy. Well I expect again for this school year, a year full of fun and hardworks....

…of Course

Some of us believe that it is more effective to concentrate on a vocational or technical course rather than to study college for such a long time. Just like what happens in Japan. But, we’re not in Japan and we are far comparable to that country. Moreover, we are not Japanese, we are Filipinos, and we have different culture and values that are nature on us. Consciously, some of us take pride on choosing a course to study in college because they reason out that taking a vocational or technical course will demean their community status, and their ego. The attitude of Filipinos who sense their selves as excellent individuals in a certain aspect – being lofty or feeling superior in a certain field –makes them feel not fitted to a vocational or technician course. Because they believe that their skills and talents are beyond vocational and technical work requirements. The notion of achieving something that is above what is usual – which is I think is somewhat good and importa...
