I started to be a beach bum again. First stop: Anawangin Island Cove and Capones Island in Zambales. Camping is fun! Beach is fun! Summer is fun! Everything is fun! Nothing expensive though, the most expensive thing would probably be Wonderland. Next stop: Samal Island, Davao. Next weekend. Exciting.

A friend gave me a Christmas gift. A Hero (Be Somebody) Novelty photo holder! This was for being recognized as a modern hero. I thought that was absolutely awesome, and a bit random. So it got me thinking – what is the best or strangest gift you’ve ever received last holidays? The gift is now displayed in the cabinet of my toy collections. This simple gift always reminds me that even superheros need a hero - I need one.

Star City is the country’s premiere theme park and is located at Sotto St., CCP Complex Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. Just this after I got my graduation picture. It was digital and edited. I appear clean and nice-looking in my picture. It was taken by the tessar , the official photo shop of the University. They do photo-editing services, developing, and they also offer video coverage for special events. The photo shop was partnered by our school because they are the only photo shop in Koronadal City that offers cheap and quality photo-editing service. The place is also accessible from the location of the University. My classmates got their graduation pictures also. You laughed at how different we appear in person and in picture. Some really look different because some impurities on their face were removed (edited) by the technology. But, one guy from IT Department feels unfortunate because his damaged and darkened tooth was not edited. Last week the Honors Society distributed the official tee design for this school year. The tee print is designed by Jehzeel Laurente . The tee design is available for white and black t-shirt for only 45.00 pesos. *** TYG volunteers posing for 1GB USB On that day, The Anaheim Village Rotary Club granted the T’nalak Youth Group (TYG) twenty one (21) 1 GB USB through Rotary Club of Koronadal. Chosen TYG Core group members and volunteers received the USB for personal use. ( including me :P ) This project of Rotary aims to extend the awareness on computer and technology. Each Grant-in-Aid (GIA) working students in the University also received the same device.

Last Saturday we had a meeting together with the other Philippine delegates for the Asian Marist Youth Congress. We stayed at the Provincial Marist Convent for two days at Lagao, General Santos City. It was a productive discussion we came up with a good presentation that will interpret the roles of the youth in addressing the issues in our country today that concerns them. We were assigned to organize the second afternoon mass and the High Mass on the last day of the congress. We had planned to have an outdoor Mass on the last day to integrate nature and oneness with the surrounding. I just pray that on this day it won’t rain. I was tasked to make a digital presentation on the topic “ Response of the Youth and the Marist community to the contemporary situation of the Philippines ” and also on “ Tatak Marista, Hubog Marist!” I hope I can finish these two presentations before September 15. So many have predicted the end of the world. No one has gotten the exact time yet. Because I think it won't happen. A 1704 letter that went on show in Jerusalem on Sunday, says otherwise. Would you believe it? The letter was from the renowned British scientist Sir Isaac Newton, the father of modern physics and astronomy. He predicted that the world would end in 2060. Newton based his prediction on a Biblical text. He studied Alchemy also, the notion that base metals can be turned into gold. Would his intelligence enough to predict the end of our world?
