2008 the year that was
I’ve been meaning to write a Year Ender. I hope that this one is not yet too late to post. 2008 has barely started and it's now an end. Too many things have happened to me--both bad and good--and this is perhaps the best time to write about them as find and retrieve my self again this year of the Ox.
I cannot recall everything with precision; but I can, however, create a clear picture of the events that have transpired. What is clear is that I will only write about the most important and significant ones. If I have, for the record, forgotten some very monumental events, then blame it to my being stolen.
A lot has happened this year, I can’t even sum up all to one entry. 2008 was a year of milestones and blessings from Him. To list a few significant event, it was the year when:
1. I organized a blog seminar in Marbel
2. SOCCSarGen bloggers society was organized
3. I became an active staunch advocate for equity and quality education
4. I graduated in college
5. I moved to Manila
6. I got a graduate school scholarship
7. I studied at the University of Philippines - Diliman
8. I bought a laptop
9. I was chosen a one of The Outstanding Students of the Philippines
10. I shared a shout-out during the 2MBS
11. I celebrated my birthday with a blast at NBC tent with the stars
12. I revived a good relationship with my father
13. I was hired at WorldPartner Inc. as Software Developer
14. I received a National Award for Volunteerism
15. I organized together with fellow youth-leader a Christmas party for street children
2008 was such a great year for some of us. For me, it is one of my most treasured year. Lets pray that 2009 will be best. God bless to all.
I hope more of you, guys this year.

Do you believe in New Year’s Resolutions?
Is it only for the people who too lazy to change? Why people fuss over it during the new year's day? When one can have resolutions any months to work-on and live during.
But I believe in making resolutions. It’s a beautiful expression of a desire to change for the better, not because the calendar demands it, but because the person finds in him the need to.
"To do what one has accomplished to do, he must realize, at the very onset, that he is unable. Yes, this is the irony—realize you are unable, and then you become able–because the strength ultimately comes from God. It is God who effects the change in us. Man can only do so much. By realizing his need, a person must come to the One who is able, ask for His grace, and, if He so wills it, He will provide the means for some form of change."
We shouldn’t wait for another year to change our bad habits or to do something glorifying to God.
If we must change, then it must be now.
It’s a great year ahead of us. God bless.
